Valorant Patch 8.0 Agent update : Deadlock Buffs, Killjoy Nerfs.

Finally, the first significant Valorant update of the year has arrived along with the release of Episode 8, which represents the new season in Valorant parlance. With a ton of new stuff introduced to the game, including a brand-new battle pass, the Kuronami skinline, and a ton of map and agent modifications, Riot Games is beginning the year off strong. Finally, the whole patch notes are out, and in this post, we will go over every change to Agent for Episode 8.

Two of the Sentinels from the Valorant roster, Deadlock and Killjoy, are the main targets of this patch. Given that she has been doing poorly since her release a few months back, Deadlock is getting some upgrades. However, Killjoy's turret will receive a few minor nerfs that will make it more difficult to operate.

The whole list of agent modifications that Patch 8.0 will bring to Valorant is as follows:

Deadlock

Continuing in the vein of the earlier 7.10 GravNet modifications, it aims to enhance the distinct strengths of Deadlock's two other core abilities: Sonic Sensor and Barrier Mesh.

Sonic Sensor improves the dependability of the concuss once activated by decreasing its windup time, while simultaneously boosting flexibility by letting you to recall and redeploy it in round.

Sonic Sensor :

>>Sonic Sensors are now recallable in round.

>>Sonic Sensor’s pickup distance increased 12m >>> 27m

>>Decreased time for enemies to destroy Sonic Sensor once triggered 0.65s >>> 0.5s

>>Deadlock and her allies can now hear Sonic Sensor’s audio lightly when they are in its area of effect.

Barrier Mesh has extended the maximum length of its walls, allowing it to divide considerably greater regions than similar utilities and making it more dependable at totally blocking chokes when erected fast.

Barrier Mesh

  • Increased the maximum length of Barrier Mesh walls from 6 to 10 meters.

Killjoy

When combined with Killjoy's Turret's other features, like as autonomous detection and long-range vision, the quantity of coverage it provides outperforms other defensive recon technologies.

Reducing its vision cone should encourage Killjoy to make more informed decisions about which portions of the map her Turret will cover, while the Turret's new graphics should help you immediately comprehend what regions it will guard.

Turret:

>>Added a representation of the Turret’s vision cone on Killjoy’s minimap when she is placing the Turret.

>>Added VFX and updated the Turret’s animations to communicate the Turret’s new vision radius.

This was the complete list of Agent changes coming to Valorant with Patch 8.0. While this isn't the most significant patch Riot Games has published, the Deadlock and Killjoy changes will undoubtedly have an influence on the game in several ways. Hopefully, more Agents will be added in the next weeks so that the game remains new and entertaining for all lovers of this tactical shooter.
